  •             Environment à weather ,  noise , traffic and pollution
  •             Social stressors à  deadlines , financial problems , job interviews  ,presentations , disagreements ,    demands  for  your  time  and  attention and loss of loved  ones.
  •             Psychological à growth of adolescence , menopause  in  women , illness , aging , lack of  exercise and sleep disturbances.

Chronic stress and disease, It  occurs  when:
  •              Little  stressors accumulate and  you  are unable  to  recuperate  from anyone of   them.
  •              When the  stressors  of  life are related.

Meditation
Practice of uncritically attempting  to  focus your  attention to one  thing at a  time.
Many  meditators find important rising and  falling of  their  own  breathe.
You  can  use  anything as  an object of  meditation.
After  a  meditation a  number  of surprising realizations will become apparent
It  is  impossible  to worry , fear  or  hate  when your  mind is thinking  something other than the  object of these emotions.
It isn't necessary  to think about  everything that pops into  your head.

Visualization
You can reduce stress with something enormously powerful: your imagination.
You can imagine relaxation spreading through your  body , and you can visualize your self  in a safe and beautiful place.

If  you  think sad thoughts  you become  unhappy.
Kinds  of  visualization:
  •              Receptive à You relax  , empty  your  mind , imagine  a  scene , ask a question and  wait  for  the  response.
  •              Programmed à Create  an image , imagine  a  goal or  a  healing  you want to accelerate.
  •              Guided à  visualize  ,but omit crucial elements. Then  wait for  your  inner  guide to  supply the  missing pieces  in the  puzzle.
Rules for effective visualization:
  1.             Loosen  your  clothing ,  lie down in  a  quiet place and  close  your  eyes softly.
  2.             Form mental sense  impressions.
  3.             Use affirmations
  4.             Visualize 3 times  a  day.

Self -hypnosis
Hypnosis comes from the Greek word  for  sleep. Its  similar  to  sleep  but  there  is  narrowing  consciousness ,accompanied  by inertia and passivity.
Self –hypnosis is  a  powerful technique that  you can quickly and  easily learn to reduce stress and stress related  illness.
It can also be  used  to reinforce positive changes  in  your  life.
  •             Every hypnosis trance includes the  following elements:
  •             Economy  of action and relaxationà reduction of  muscular activity and energy output.
  •             Tendency  for  arms  and legs to stay  in any position that  they  are placed. (Limb catalepsy)
